Grief and Loss

You might feel alone with your grief and overwhelmed by the way your emotions can change so rapidly, coping fine one minute and then struggling the next. You are not alone. I can be there to support you during this challenging period, help you to get in touch with what you are feeling and start the process of emotional healing. Grief is not linear, and takes time; my practice is a place where you can process your grief in a way that makes sense to you.

Depression

If you live with depression, it can be hard to imagine breaking your cycle of unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. You might feel constantly unmotivated, lacking in energy, and starting to believe that things will never get better. This is extremely common, - you are not alone. I have worked with clients in the past to explore this further mindfully, with curiosity, self- compassion and without self -judgement in the present moment, so that you can start living you better life, one day at a time.

Anxiety

Anxiety affects so many people, and I know how difficult it can be to live with that constant sense of ‘overwhelm’, social anxiety, panic attacks or a perpetual sense of unease for no apparent reason. You are not alone. It has been said that the brave person is not one who feels no fear, but one who feels the fear and moves forward despite it. With me by your side, you can overcome anxieties in a supportive, confidential, non-judgemental setting.

Stress

We all experience stress in our lives, and sometimes it can get too much for us. Often, we don’t give ourselves the space we need to breathe, whether it’s at work or in our social lives, and as a result the stress builds up and becomes stored in our body. If we don’t check in on ourselves and try to battle through the stress every day, problems like burnout or depression can occur. You are not alone. I have experience in working with stressed people, walking alongside them to understand what their stresses are and aiding them find ways of managing them and developing resilience.

Diversity and Identity

I am an ally for those who experience discrimination because of their race, gender, or sexual identity. I know that those from a POC and/or LGBTQIA+ background often don’t reach out, because of a sense that therapists fail to appreciate the challenges faced by those coming to the therapy. This is why I aim to be careful to always work from an affirmative, intersectional understanding as we work through the issues you are struggling with.

Disabilities and Illness

My Gestalt therapy in East London and online is available to those encountering the unique challenges of their disability and/or illness, including the discrimination faced by the differently abled, giving them a peaceful, friendly space to be validated, listened to, and understood. From working in the healthcare sector and my lived experiences of my own disability (a deaf lip reader) means that I have a familiarity with some disability issues people bring to therapy.

Seasonal affective disorder
